Why does Lingzy use “credits”?

Lingzy is a unique platform that helps you practice foreign languages through AI-powered chat with ChatGPT. Each conversation is designed to be engaging, personalized, and resource-intensive. To balance usage with operational costs, we use a credits system—every word you type equals one credit.

This approach allows us to offer flexible subscription options. The Premium plan gives you 3,000 credits per month, perfect for consistent learners. For those who want unlimited practice without limits, the Ultra plan provides unrestricted access. With these options, every learner can choose a plan that fits their goals while ensuring Lingzy continues to deliver high-quality, AI-driven learning experiences.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Canceling must be done in the store tied to your device: on iOS, go to App Store → profile → Subscriptions → select our app → Cancel; on Android, go to Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → select our app → Cancel.

How do I turn off auto-renewal for my subscription?

Manage auto-renewal in the App Store or Google Play: on iOS open App Store → profile → Subscriptions → our app → turn off “Automatic Renewal,” and on Android open Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → our app → disable “Auto-Renew.”

Why was my subscription suspended or terminated?

Subscription suspensions or terminations are generally due to payment issues. Please check your payment method associated with your Apple or Google account. If you still have issues, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.

How do I add a learning language?

When you first open Lingzy, you’ll be prompted to pick a language to learn. If you want to study more than one, you can add extras anytime. Just go to the app settings, tap the round flag icon, select Learning Languages, and add the ones you want. For each language you add, you’ll also choose your skill level.

Can I use my subscription on multiple devices?

You can use your subscription on multiple devices by signing in with the same account, and your data will sync automatically across them.

What is your refund policy for subscriptions?

Subscription refunds are managed directly by Apple and Google—please check their customer support pages for details: Apple Refund Support and Google Refund Support.

How do I delete my account?

To remove your Lingzy account, launch the app, go to the Profile tab, select Profile, and then choose Delete My Account. This action will permanently and instantly erase your Lingzy account data. Please note that this does not cancel any active subscriptions made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store — make sure to cancel those separately to avoid future billing.

After deletion, any saved language progress or chat history will be lost and cannot be recovered. However, you’re welcome to create a new account at any time.
